Counterspringing.com is an engineering guide to mechanism counterspringing. It exists to do two things: clearly explain the technical details of each counterspringing approach, and teach you how to evaluate which design — if any — is right for your machine.

The guiding philosophy is unglamorous on purpose: good fundamental design maximizes simplicity and adds complexity only where it’s genuinely needed.
